The Event.
Guests
are invited for a day of fun and fellowship while supporting the West
Kentucky Community and Technical College general scholarship fund.
The
day begins with an afternoon start of our annual pro-am golf
tournament. As
players come off the course, a cocktail reception for both golf and poker
players will occur. During the reception, golf tournament prizes
will be awarded, and talk of poker strategies will begin to emerge.
The
Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament begins at 7 p.m. Participants
will match their skills and play for cash prizes throughout the
evening.
Shoot Specifics
Our annual golf tournament is held in memory of longtime PJC
board chair Marshall E. Nemer and features a 4-person scramble with
scrip prizes. Teams play with a PGA Professional and receive game
improving tips throughout the afternoon. As always, mulligans
are available to assist with those tricky shots.
This
year’s tournament
begins at 1 p.m. to better accommodate our corporate contributors.
A buffet lunch is available for golfers beginning at 12 p.m.
Scrip
prizes will be awarded during the reception to teams finishing first,
fifth, tenth and last. Prizes will also be awarded to the
player with the straightest drive and shot closest to the pin.
Hold Specifics
Beginning at 7 p.m., the Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament features
play for cash prizes. All players receive a predetermined amount
of chips. The winner of the tournament receives a $1,500 check. Second
and third place finishers receive $1,000 and $500 respectively.
Note:
No alcoholic beverages will be available once the tournament begins. Must
be at least 21 years of age to participate.
