Registration for currently enrolled WKCTC students only; make an appointment with your assigned academic advisor.

April 14 - May 30

Registration begins for new students* and continues for currently enrolled students in the Advising Center.

** Mon.-Thurs. - 8:00 am - 6:30 pm: Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
April 15
Financial Aid Priority Deadline for Summer. Students applying after this date must make payment arrangements and complete the FAFSA immediately at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. See the college Web site for more details at: http://www.westkentucky.kctcs.edu.
May 26
Memorial Day - College closed.
May 30
Last day to pay Summer 2008 tuition to avoid cancellation of summer classes. Students registering after May 30 must pay at the time of registration.
June 4
Registration continues for Summer 2008 classes which have not yet met.
June 9
Class work begins for Summer 2008.
June 12
For 8-week classes
  • Last day to drop a course without a grade.
  • Last day to withdraw and receive a 100% tuition refund.
June 23
  • Last day to file an application in the Registrar's office for an August degree.
  • For 8-week classes - last day to withdraw and receive a 50% tuition refund. *
June 24
New-student orientation at 10:00 am in Clemens Fine Arts Theatre.
July 4
Independence Day Holiday (no classes)
July 13
PELL, SEOG, and Student Loan recipients (Title IV) who officially withdraw from this date forward may not be required to repay a portion of their financial aid.
July 18
  • For 6-week classes - End of class work
  • last day for a student, at the discretion of the instructor, to officially withdraw from a class and receive a grade of "W."
July 21-22
Final exams for 6-week classes.
July 26
New-student orientation at 10:00 am in Clemens Fine Arts Theatre.
August 1
  • For 8-week and second 4-week classes - End of class work
  • last day for a student, at the discretion of the instructor, to officially withdraw from a class and receive a grade of "W."
August 4-5
Final exams for Summer classes.
* Students must have submitted an application previously and taken the placement assessment if they have not scored at least 18 in English, reading, and math on the ACT or have not completed a college level English or math course. In addition, students wanting to take college algebra must have a math ACT of at least 20 to be exempt from the math COMPASS test.

The COMPASS placement is given in the Assessment Center located in the Anderson Technical Building. Specific dates and times of the assessments can be found at: http://www.westkentucky.kctcs.edu/geninfo/career.shtml.
