Open registration begins for currently enrolled WKCTC students only; make appointment with advisor.
Nov. 5 - Dec. 19 Open registration for new students and continues for currently enrolled students.
November 15
Financial Aid Priority Deadline. Students applying after this date must make payment arrangements and complete the FAFSA immediately at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. See the college Web site for more details at: www.westkentucky.kctcs.edu.
November 21 Academic Holiday - No classes.
November 22-23 Thanksgiving Holiday; Campus closed.
December 13 New Student Orientation at 6:00 pm in the Clemens Fine Arts Theatre.
December 14
Deadline for setting up tuition payment plan to qualify for paying in three payments with 25% required down payment.

Last day to pay tuition or make payment arrangements to avoid cancellation of spring classes.

AFTER DEC. 13, STUDENTS REGISTERING MUST PAY OR SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN AT TIME OF REGISTRATION.
           
Dec. 21- Jan. 1 Christmas and New Year's Holiday; Campus closed.
January 7
Offices closed for faculty and staff in-service.
January 8 - 11
Open registration continues for currently enrolled and new students. Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 6:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm in the Advising Center.
January 11
Deadline for setting up tuition payment plan to qualify for paying in two payments with 50% required down payment.
January 14 Class work begins.
January 14 - 18 Late start registration. PAYMENT REQUIRED AT TIME OF REGISTRATION. Students may register for classes that have not yet met.
January 18 For 16-week classes
  • Last day to drop a course without a grade.
  • Last day to withdraw and receive 100% tuition refund.
January 21
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday (KCTCS Holiday - Campus closed.)
February 12
Last day to withdraw and receive a 50% refund (16-week classes only).

Last day to file an application for a May degree in the Registrar’s Office.
February 18
President's Day Holiday (KCTCS Holiday - Campus closed.)

March 3

Application deadline for academic scholarships for Fall 2008.

March 7

  • Last day for students, at their discretion, to officially withdraw from a class and receive a grade of "W" (16-week classes only)
  • Last day to change from credit to audit (16-week classes only)

March 14

Pell, SEOG, and Student Loan recipients (Title IV) who officially withdraw from this date forward may not be required to repay portion of their financial aid.

March 17 - 21

Spring break (Academic Holiday - No classes)

March 21

Good Friday - Campus closes at noon.

April 15

* Applicants who have scored less than an 18 in English and reading and 20 in math on the ACT must also take the ASSET or COMPASSS placement assessment. The COMPASS placement assessment is given in the Assessment Center located in the Anderson Technical Building and in the Workplace Skills Center at Kentucky Oaks Mall.
