Open registration begins in the advising center for new students and continues for currently enrolled students.

Fall 2008 Registration resumes.

Memorial Day - College closed.
June 24
New-student orientation at 10:00 am in Clemens Fine Arts Theatre.

Financial Aid Priority Deadline for Fall. Students applying after this date must make payment arrangements and complete the FAFSA immediately at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. See the college Web site for more details at: http://www.westkentucky.kctcs.edu.
July 26

August 1
  • day to pay tuition or make payment arrangements to avoid cancellation of Fall classes
  • Deadline for setting up tuition payment plan to qualify for paying in three payments with 25% down payment for Fall 2008 classes.

No Registration (Advising/Admissions offices closed)
August 6-8
Registration continues for Fall 2008 classes (Tuition or payment arrangements due at time of registration).
August 11-12
Offices closed for faculty and staff in-service.
August 13-15
Registration continues for Fall 2008 classes (Tuition or payment arrangements due at time of registration).
August 18
Class work begins. Registration and schedule readjustment continues for courses which have not yet met. PAYMENT REQUIRED AT TIME OF REGISTRATION.
August 22

For 16-week classes

  • Last day to drop a course without a grade.
  • Last day to withdraw and receive a 100% tuition refund.
  • Deadline for setting up tuition payment plan to qualify for payment in two payments with 50% required down payment.
September 1
Labor Day Holiday - College closed
September 17
  • Last day to file an application in the Registrar's office for a December degree.
  • Last day to withdraw and receive a 50% tuition refund. (for 16 week classes)
October 8
  • Last day for students, at their discretion, to officially withdraw from a 16-week class and receive a grade of "W."
  • Last day to change from credit to audit for 16-week classes.
October 9-10

PELL, SEOG, and Student Loan recipients (Title IV) who officially withdraw from this date forward may not be required to repay a portion of their financial aid.

Spring 2009 Registration begins for new students Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 6:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. in the Advising Center. Registration continues for currently enrolled students for Spring 2009 classes. Please make appointment with assigned academic advisor.

* Applicants who have scored less than an 18 in English and reading and 20 in math on the ACT must also take the ASSET or COMPASS placement assessment. The COMPASS placement assessment is given in the Assessment Center located in the Anderson Technical Building and in the Workplace Skills Center at Kentucky Oaks Mall.
