Resources for Higher Education In Kentucky
One of the best places to start is GoHigherKY (http://www.gohigherky.org/).
The GoHigher KY website allows users who create a student
account to automatically input information into financial
aid and college applications, visit campuses virtually,
explore career options, get adult education information,
and receive help transferring to another school.
Also
included on the GoHigherKY website is a booklet called "Your TASK*
Guide to Go Higher" (http://gohigherky.org/Planning/transfer/Student_Transfer_Handbook.pdf).
This booklet includes a checklist for preparing to transfer
and helpful hints from students who have successfully
transferred to a four-year college or university.
The Kentucky Course Applicability System (CAS) (http://ky.transfer.org/cas/index.jsp)
houses information about course equivalency, academic
programs, transfer evaluations, and degree auditing on
the web. Students considering transferring may use the
CAS network to access transfer information on Kentucky
public institutions of higher education.
The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority
(KHEAA) (www.kheaa.com)
is a public corporation and governmental agency established
in 1966 to improve students' access to higher education.
KHEAA administers several financial aid programs and
disseminates information about higher education opportunities.
The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education
(CPE) (http://cpe.ky.gov/institutions/)
provides links to all postsecondary institutions, public
and private, that operate in the Commonwealth.
