A student must have a cumulative grade-point
average of at least 2.00 in order to
graduate from WKCTC. To compute the
grade-point average for a semester,
the student should do the following:
- Determine the numerical equivalent
for the letter grade of each course
(A equals 4, B equals 3, C equals
2,
D equals 1, E equals 0).
- Multiply the numerical grade for
each course by the semester hours
for each course (grade 4 points “A”
x semester hours of course 3=12 quality
pts).
- Add the number of quality points
for all classes.
- Divide the total quality points
for all classes by the total number
of semester hours in which the student
enrolled including classes failed.
Letter grades for courses numbered
less than 100 and MA 108R are not
calculated in the GPA.
In computing grade-point averages,
the student should remember that the
grades “W”, “P”
and “F” carry no weight.
More detailed information concerning
grades and credits is in the Kentucky
