NO WEAPONS ALLOWED ON
CAMPUS
Weapons, including concealed
weapons, are not permitted on the college campus. The
concealed weapon bill passed by the Kentucky legislature
grants colleges the right to prohibit possession of deadly
weapons on campus.
POLICY ON STUDENTS BRINGING
CHILDREN TO CLASS
Students are not permitted to bring children
into the classroom, or shops, or leave unattended children
in the college at any time. It is not generally permissible
to leave a child in custodial care inside the College
while attending classes or extracurricular activities.
However, limited
childcare assistance is available at the College.
SMOKING POLICY
- The following are designated
smoking areas on campus:
-
- Carson Hall - Eastside
- Rosenthal Hall - Northend
- MLRC - Northend and Eastside
- Crounse Hall - Northend on the Westside
- Student Center/Fine Arts/Nemer - Breezeway between
the buildings
- Anderson Technical Building - Eastside and Westside
- Allied Health Building - Eastside and Westside
- Please stay away from entrances to buildings when
you smoke - smoking in front of an entrance many times
allows smoke to enter the building when doors are opened.
We have provided cigarette containers near buildings
that can be used to discard cigarettes - please use
them as we are attempting to enhance the campus atmosphere
and appearance. We appreciate your assistance in helping
to make our campus look nice.
STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL
NEEDS
KCTCS is committed to providing equal educational
opportunity and full participation for persons with disabilities.
It is the system policy that no otherwise qualified person,
with a disability, be excluded from participating in any
KCTCS program or activity, be denied the benefits of any
KCTCS program or activity, or be subject to discrimination
with regard to any KCTCS program or activity. Any student
with a disability that may require reasonable accommodation
should contact the College's Disability Resource Office
(DRO) located in Room 107 of the Anderson Building, or
phone (270) 534-3406. For maximum assistance, contact
should be made with this office at least two weeks prior
