The Basic Five

1. APPLY. Complete application for admission. (270) 534-3264
  • Submit transcripts. High school transcripts or GED test results are required for admission to the College. Transfer students must submit official transcripts (mailed from previous college) to the Admissions Office. Students who will attend West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) for one semester only and then return to their home college, are not required to send official transcripts; a letter of good standing from the home college is required indicating the student is eligible to return to the home college.
  • Apply for financial aid. (Students may apply online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov) For additional information, phone (270) 534-3248. The school code is: 001979
2. TEST. Complete admissions testing: COMPASS assessment if applicable in the Anderson Technical Building. An admissions application must have been completed prior to testing.(Students may view a sample test by visiting the ACT website at http://www.act.org/compass/sample/index.html)

3. REGISTER.
  • Meet with an advisor to review program requirements, transfer work and build schedule. For information call (270) 534-3408 or visit Room 106 in the Anderson Technical Building.
  • Register and receive printed schedule of classes.
  • Activate and use the student e-mail account at http://webmail.kctcs.edu.
4. PAY
  • Pay tuition and fees online or in person with cash, check, credit card, financial and/or scholarship.
5. ATTEND NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION, REVIEW SCHEDULE, AND ATTEND CLASS
  • Review semester calendar for withdrawal dates, refund schedule, etc. Spring classes begin January 14, 2008.
  • Attend new student orientation session at 6 pm on December 13 in the Clemens Student Center.
