COMPASS Testing
COMPASS
is a computerized adaptive testing system that helps place students
into appropriate mathematics, reading, and writing classes.
Students who score less than 18 in Reading, English or Math
are required to take the COMPASS test. In addition, students
wanting to take college algebra must have a math ACT of at least
20 to be exempt from the math COMPASS test.
Cost:
There is no fee for first-time test takers. The re-testing fee
is $7.00 per section or $20.00 for all three sections. Pay in
the Business Office and bring the receipt to retest.
Test
Schedule: Walk-in testing is available Monday through Friday
from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm in the Assessment Center in the Anderson
Building. Bring a photo ID to the test. Evening and Saturday
COMPASS testing is available in the Workplace Skills Center
at Kentucky Oaks Mall. Call 554-6221 to make an appointment
or to get more information.
The hours
are as follows:
Evening
(start testing by 5 pm)
Saturday (start testing between 10:00 am and noon)
Additional
evening testing is available during late registration for tests
started by 4:30 pm in the Assessment Center located in Anderson
Technical Building Room 110 on the following dates:
