COMPASS PLACEMENT SCHEDULE
COMPASS
is a computerized adaptive testing system that helps place
students into appropriate mathematics, reading, and writing
classes. Students who score less than 18 in Reading, English
or Math are required to take the COMPASS test. In addition,
students wanting to take college algebra must have a math
ACT of at least 20 to be exempt from the math COMPASS
test.
Cost:
There is no fee for first-time test takers. The re-testing
fee is $7.00 per section or $20.00 for all three sections.
Pay in the Business Office and bring the receipt to retest.
Test
Schedule: The Assessment Center is open daily from
8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Walk-in testing is available Monday
through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. Bring a photo
ID to the test. Evening and Saturday COMPASS testing is
available in the Workplace Skills Center at Kentucky Oaks
Mall. Call 554-6221 to make an appointment at the Workplace
Skills Center.
Additional
evening testing is available during late registration
for tests started by 4:00 pm on the following dates:
