West Kentucky Community & Technical College cosmetology students Sheri Cannon of Paducah and Danita Harris of Brookport, IL recently completed a Phase One workshop at the Helix Hair Academy.

The students were able to attend the three-day, hands-on class thanks to scholarships from Bowling Green hair stylists Dr. Lorraine Jones and Dr. Beverly Hartis.

The Helix Hair Academy, located in Sevierville, TN.,  is the only Christian, post secondary School of Fine Arts for hairdressers in the world.

Phase One, the first step in a four phase program, provides students with techniques to create custom looks for each client. WKCTC’s two students along with WKCTC cosmetology professor Steve Holt received certificates for completing the program.
