Gather For Fun Morning Making Gingerbread Houses
Children
and their parents gathered on a Saturday morning to make
Gingerbread Houses with David Jones and Karla Lawrence from
the Artisan Kitchen. The two taught the class and helped
the children create their houses. The children made gingerbread
houses using an empty milk carton, a graham cracker base
and assorted candies. This class is part of the A la Carte
Culinary Series. |

to Careers Day

More than 100 seniors from Lone Oak High School, Paducah
Tilghman, Heath, Reidland, and Community Christian participated
in Access To Careers Day at West Kentucky Community and
Technical College. Students attended sessions about the
admissions process, financial aid, took a campus tour
and attended one of three sessions on transfer, technical
areas and allied health. The event is sponsored by the
Rotary Club of Paducah and WKCTC. |

Student Photo Exhibit The
West Kentucky Community and Technical College Student Photography
Exhibit opened with a reception Thursday, November 29. The
exhibit includes the work of students in the WKCTC Traditional
Black and White Photography Class taught by C. Todd Birdsong.
The exhibit, in the WKCTC Clemens Fine Arts Center Lobby
Gallery, will run through January 18, 2008. Gallery hours
are Monday and Wednesday- 9 am to noon, Tuesday and Thursday
– 10 am to 2 pm, and Friday – 9 am to 1 pm. |
