How Much Does It Cost to Attend the College?

 

Tuition and fees at West Kentucky Community and Technical College are payable in full at the beginning of each term unless prior arrangements for a payment plan are made with the college.

From this screen you will have the option to pay with check, credit card or FACTS Management Payment Plan. Depending on which option you choose, prompts will walk you through the process.

Pay by check. Check must include: Student’s name, ID # and/or last four digits of Social Security #. Make check payable to WKCTC and mail to: WKCTC, Business Office – ATB, P.O. Box 7380, Paducah, KY 42002-7380. Or pay in person at the college’s Business Office in the Anderson Building, Room 104.

Pay by credit card. The college accepts: MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

Payment Plan. A payment plan is offered through an outside agency, FACTS Management, in the Spring and Fall semesters. You can set up your payment plan online by following the online payment directions above. At the Make a Payment screen, select Payment Plan (FACTS). You will be prompted for your information.

  • Senior Learners
    Anyone who is at least 65 years old and a Kentucky resident may enroll for regular courses at the college without payment of tuition. All prerequisites and entrance requirements are waived for students under this program. The fee waiver will automatically credit the student’s account as long as proof of age is presented to the Admissions Office verifying age of at least 65 when classes begin.

OTHER FEES

Kentucky Educational Television (KET) Fees: A $22 charge per course will be assessed at the time of registration for each student enrolled in a televised course. This charge is remitted to the KET Network and used to pay for the purchase and development of televised coursework. This is a non-refundable fee.

NAA 100: $75 non-refundable charge per course.

American Institute of Banking (AIB) Fees: A $25 charge per course will be assessed at the time of registration for each student enrolled in banking courses developed and approved through AIB. This charge is remitted to AIB and used to pay for the development of banking coursework. This is a non-refundable fee.

TUITION AND FEE REGULATIONS

 
  • Students whose financial obligations to KCTCS, or any division or organization of KCTCS, have not been paid in full will not be permitted to register for future credit or non-credit offerings, receive transcripts, transfer credits to another institution, or graduate.
  • KCTCS will pursue collection of all outstanding accounts pursuant to its Business Procedures.
  • Accounts, which remain delinquent, may be referred to outside agencies for collection and are subject to additional fees and costs.

West Kentucky Community and Technical College makes every effort to include relevant, timely and accurate information in its publications. However, WKCTC reserves the right to make changes in its calendar, admissions policies, expenses, programs, curricula, course descriptions or any other matters addressed or not addressed in this publication. Prospective students and enrolled students should check with the college's Offices of Admissions, Registrar, and/or Business Affairs to learn of any such changes.

REFUNDS
 

A student must complete a drop slip and officially withdraw by deadline date to be eligible for a refund. Refer to calendar for dates.

  • This signed drop slip must be turned into the Registrar's Office to withdraw from a class.
  • Refunds and withdrawal dates for classes other than the regular 8-week summer or 16-week fall or spring classes will be determined by the amount of time the class has met. Contact the Registrar for questions regarding these classes.
  • Refund dates are subject to change at the discretion of the KCTCS Board of Regents.
  • If a student receives Title IV aid (Pell Grant, SEOG, Student Loans) and either officially withdraws from school or stops attending classes before the 60% period, a portion of the grant or loan funds may have to be repaid.
SENIOR LEARNERS
Anyone who is at least 65 years old may enroll for regular courses at the College without payment of tuition. All prerequisites and entrance requirements are waived for students under this program. The fee waiver will automatically credit toward the student's account as long as the date of birth is recorded in the Admissions Office verifying the student's age of at least 65.
 
E-MAIL ACCOUNT INFORMATION

To activate a KCTCS student e-mail account: Go to the Web site (https://webmail.kctcs.edu) at which time the student will identify themself with their nine digit student ID number and last name. Instructions will be given to create a password. GRADES ARE ISSUED VIA STUDENT E-MAIL. GRADE REPORTS ARE NOT MAILED TO STUDENTS. To access the e-mail account once the account has been activated:
