You must fill out the form
accurately using your exact name and Social Security
number as reflected on you social security card. The
information that you supply may be verified by your college,
your State, or by the U.S. Department of Education.
You may be asked to provide U.S. income tax returns,
institution worksheets, and other information. If
you can't or don't provide these records to the financial
aid office, you may not get federal or state student
aid.
If you get federal or state aid based on incorrect information,
you will have to pay it back; you may also have to pay
fines and fees. If you purposely give false
or misleading information on your FAFSA or other requested
forms, you may be fined $10,000, sent to prison, or both.
A 2008-2009 FAFSA will not be processed after June
30, 2009. |
