Campus Culinary Services

Who and Where We Are

• Campus Culinary Services is affiliated with the Campus Culinary Arts Department at WKCTC. We currently have three venues of service open to the campus and community:
• Cyber Cafe 
  Located on the first floor of the Emerging Technology Center on Alben Barkley Drive;
• Center Cafe 
  Located in the Clemens Student Center/Fine Arts Building;
• Cyber Catering 
  Offered in the Emerging Technology Center. We also offer options for carryout.
• Our operations employ graduates of the Culinary Arts program as well as students and other part-time staff; we also serve as a co-op site for Culinary Arts Program students.
• We are a member of "Kentucky Proud", a program sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
  We buy several seasonal products from local businesses, including farms and a local apiary.

What We Do

• In addition to our food services, CCS staff partners with Workforce Solutions to provide "Rollin' on the River", a training program geared toward cooks employed by our local river industries. Our staff also provides teaching and information sessions for meetings of local clubs, organizations, and schools.
• Several of our staff members are ServSafe certified.  We are pleased to note that we have received a score of 100 on our last three inspections by the local health department.
• A partnership with UK Engineering has resulted in regular recycling of our cooking oil to produce biodiesel fuel for a local high school to use in heating their greenhouse. Our sites also participate in the campus recycling efforts for cans and bottles.
