Merit Scholarships

High School Seniors

Current high school seniors are eligible for Merit scholarships at WKCTC if

  1. A complete scholarship application is submitted.
  2. An official seventh-semester transcript and ACT score has been submitted with the Counselor Verification Form or via email by your high school counselor (see below).
  3. They meet additional GPA/ACT, class rank or National Merit requirements listed below.
  4. They are a full-time student.
NOTE:  Academic scholarships pay for WKCTC credits only.

High School Seniors (public/private high schools): Your high school counselor will receive a periodic list of applicants. Your counselor will submit and certify your official seventh-semester GPA and your ACT scores (schools using block schedules will provide information as of December 31). Your high school counselor will be asked to submit an official seventh-semester transcript including ACT scores (schools using block schedules should provide a transcript as of December 31). Though the WKCTC Scholarship Office requests this information from high school counselors, it is the APPLICANT’S responsibility to ensure that an official transcript, including ACT scores, is received by the WKCTC Scholarship Office by the stated deadline.

High School Seniors (home school):
You must print the Counselor Verification Form. This form is available on the scholarship Web site. The verification form must be completed by your administrator. Obtain an official seventh-semester transcript (schools using block schedules should provide a transcript as of December 31) and a copy of your ACT scores from your administrator. All information (counselor verification, transcript, ACT) must be received by the WKCTC Scholarship Office by the stated deadline.
