UserVisiting or Transient Student

What is a visiting student?

A visiting student is a student that is enrolled in another post-secondary institution or four year institution and is requesting to take class(es) with WKCTC on a temporary basis, then transfer those credits back to their original college. For example, a University of Kentucky student for the spring semester may take summer class(es) with WKCTC then transfer those credits back to the University of Kentucky for Fall.

Step 1: Complete the application for admission

Some institutions do not recognize concurrent enrollment for financial aid purposes.  If you wish to receive financial aid as a visiting student, you will need to apply for financial aid through your home campus and request a concurrent enrollment form from them. This form is then completed by WKCTC and returned to your home campus. Please check with your home institution if you have concerns.

Step 2: Complete your admission file

REQUEST HOME COLLEGE MAIL OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT(S) OR LETTER OF GOOD STANDING TO WKCTC

- All documentation (letters or transcripts) must be received before enrolling.
- Please review the Visiting Documentation Requirements for more information.
ACT scores, COMPASS scores, or an in-progress college transcript are usually required for course placement.
