Tutoring is a free service to all current WKCTC students.
When possible an appointment ensures that you will have tutor access with the tutor you want to work with. By no means do you have to have an appointment.
We won't give you tutor phone numbers or email addresses, but we can make an appointment for you.
Do I have to come more than once? We would like to tutor you over multiple sessions because learning takes time.
We will respect you and will ask that you respect us.
We ask that all cell phone calls are taken outside. We ask that non-tutoring conversation be kept to a minimum volume.
Eating and tutoring don't mix well. Please consider what kinds of food you bring with you. Snack foods are allowable. Full meals are frowned upon.
You can help us by bringing your assignment materials (book, noted, prompts, etc.) with you.
You will learn more if you work on the material before you come. How do you know you need help if you don't try?
We don't grade you, and we can't explain your grade. You should talk to your professor about those kinds of issues.
And what if I don't finish the assignment? We will generally work with you for about an hour, and you may not be able to complete your entire assignment under our supervision. However, you can always come back the next day.
At times we can tutor more than one student at a time, so don't assume if all our tutors are with someone that you can't be tutored.
