How can
I register for an online class?
Contact
an online advisor at the college Sandra.Tucker@kctcs.edu
and phone the Call Center at 270-534-3248 for Financial Aid
and 270-534-3264 for Admissions and Records. The Call Center
hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
How
do I get logged into Blackboard to take my classes?
The
URL (address for the course management system) is http://www.elearning.kctcs.edu.
What
is my login and password for my class?
Your
login is the same as for your campus E-mail. First initial,
last name, and four numbers given to you by the system wwade0001
Your
password is unique and created by you when you Activate your
account. No one can look it up for you. It contains an upper
case letter and symbol, a number, a lower case letter, and 8
characters in all. %A4dwork Do not use your name in the password.
How
can I change my password?
My password does not work. What is wrong?
Blackboard quit accepting my password. What should I do?
I cannot get into my E-mail with the campus. What should I do?
To
change your password, you need to know two things: your last
name and your student ID (also called EMPLID) It is a nine digit
number beginning with 00-------. This number was listed on your
schedule when you registered. Go to http://webmail.kctcs.edu

How
can I register online, check my grades, and see my schedule?
Go
to https://kctcs.mycmsc.com/.
Use your login and password to enter this area. To register,
you must first talk with an advisor. See Key
Information.
I
need to contact a teacher. What is the phone number or E-mail
address?
Go
to the searchable
directory for information. If the teacher is not at West
Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC), search your
class syllabus for contact information.
My
test won't open or it says it is unavailable. What is wrong?
Some
tests and assignments are set to open on certain dates and close
on preset dates. It could be the test is not available due to
timing.
How
can I test my browser to see if my computer will work with all
the software the class requires?
After
you go to the Blackboard Web site, click on the Help tab at
the top of the page and then click Test Browser (lower right
corner). Do this before you log into class.
I
got locked out of my test. Who do I contact?
The
best person to contact is the teacher. If it is after hours,
Mr. Wade can help with some classes. See contact information
below.
