In
1990 the college established the first minority affairs
position in the Kentucky Community and Technical College
System.
The Office of Cultural Diversity strives to enhance the academic, cultural, and
social needs of minority students at West Kentucky
Community and Technical College.
The Office of Cultural Diversity is recognized as a regional leader in its
efforts to raise the level of awareness of the unique
needs of African-Americans who enter higher education.
These efforts are strengthened through a combination
of community partnerships, campus-wide initiatives,
and collaborative intervention programs.
