  • The Center respects confidentiality.
  • Tutoring is free to current WKCTC students.
  • Cram tutoring sessions on a test day are discouraged
  • Show respect for tutors, other students, staff, and Center property. Be patient.
  • When you don't understand, tell us.
  • Be prepared for your tutoring session.
  • Tutors cannot give you a grade.
  • Tutors are not responsible for completing your homework with you.
  • Avoid using your cell phone in the Center.
  • Do not engage in conversation which is inappropriate for a professional environment.
  • Please do not bring food into the Center.
  • A tutor’s personal information will not be released to students.

A Note about Procrastination and Tutoring

Tutoring has a greater impact on grades when the student attends tutoring on a consistent basis. Tutoring is a process that encourages learning which requires time, effort, and commitment. There is no magic quick-fix for learning. Waiting until the last minute to complete assignments or seek assistance (i.e. just before an exam) is an ineffective approach towards tutoring and learning.
