property. Be patient.
- When you don't understand, tell us.
- Be prepared for your tutoring session.
- Tutors cannot give you a grade.
- Tutors are not responsible for completing your homework
with you.
- Avoid using your cell phone in the Center.
- Do not engage in conversation which is inappropriate for
a professional environment.
- Please do not bring food into the Center.
- A tutor’s personal information will not be released to students.
A Note
about Procrastination and Tutoring
Tutoring has a greater impact on grades when
the student attends tutoring on a consistent basis. Tutoring
is a process that encourages learning which requires time, effort,
and commitment. There is no magic quick-fix for learning. Waiting
until the last minute to complete assignments or seek assistance
(i.e. just before an exam) is an ineffective approach towards
tutoring and learning.
