 West
Kentucky Community and Technical College provides a powerful
example of what a successful postsecondary institution must
be in the 21st century.
Our comprehensive college arose from the foundations of two
remarkable institutions – Paducah Community College
and West Kentucky Technical College. Our college not only
offers traditional two-year transfer associate degrees in
arts and science, but also offers applied science (technical)
degrees and diplomas. Certificates are available in several
technical fields.
Our college is a Cisco Regional and Local Academy, a Microsoft-authorized
Academic Training Program Institution and a bridge to a bachelor
of science degree in engineering, as well as an extensive
source of business and industry training classes.
Our primary goal is to provide the citizens of our region
with the state-of-the-art skills they need to become productive
members of the "new" workforce – a highly
skilled workforce that will contribute to the overall economic
and social well-being of the region.
We are committed to assisting employers by offering short-term
customized training for business and industry. And for the
non-traditional student, we offer adult and continuing education
courses that focus on the needs and interests of working or
retired adults.
Whether you are still in high school, are considering taking
your first college class, are employed and looking to add
to your credentials, or you're interested in a personal enrichment
class, West Kentucky Community and Technical College is the
place to be.
