A Letter from the President:
Dr. Barbara Veazey
 

I would like to recognize and thank the faculty, staff, and leadership of the College for an outstanding year of achievements. This is only a portion of what will be recognized in the college annual report, but is an impressive list. You will see that at the heart of all accomplishments is teaching and learning. It has been a challenging year as resources have declined and everyday workload has increased. Only a very dedicated college community can remain focused and keep the student at the center – I believe WKCTC has that dedication. (more)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

Shoot & Hold'em - Golf & Texas Hold'em Tournament

The Paducah Junior College Foundation raised $22,625 with its first ever Shoot & Hold'em Tournament on May 12.

Federal Materials took top honors out of twenty-two teams that entered the golf tournament. (more)
 
 

Rotary Club of Paducah Donates $50,000 To WKCTC

 

The Rotary Club of Paducah presented a $50,000 check to Paducah Junior College, Inc., the foundation of West Kentucky Community & Technical College, in honor of Paducah residents Bill and Meredith Schroeder. (more)

More than 260 students were honored during the honors and graduation ceremony of West Kentucky Community & Technical College at Paducah Tilghman High School on May 9, 2008. (more)

 


Celebration Kicks off First of its Kind Middle College in Western Kentucky

 
More than 100 community leaders and local educators celebrated the launching of The Middle College – the first of its kind in Kentucky - during a ceremony and reception April 17 at WKCTC. (more)

Affrilachian Poet Brings Unique Voice to Western Kentucky
 
Affrilachian poet Frank X. Walker shared his powerful mixture of liberating literary style, profound insight, and the cultural struggles of a people during readings April 16 at the Matheson Library at West Kentucky Community & Technical College. (more)

Dr. Bradley Rankin honored for 20 years of Service to College
Dr. Bradley Rankin
In 1987, Dr. Bradley Rankin had just established his asthma and allergy practice in Paducah when he became medical director of the respiratory care program at then West Kentucky State Vocational-Technical School. (more)
