Paducah School of Art Professor, Randy Simmons, will be exhibiting his most recent charcoal and digital photographs at the Pinecone Gallery from now until January 29, 2009.

An opening reception will be held this Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pinecone Gallery, located at 421 North 7th Street in Paducah.

"My drawings for this exhibit center around my children and parenting. Most of my work is derived from specific events in my life. This is the first exhibit in which my photography will hang along with my drawings. What was once a vehicle to create my drawings, I have found that some of my ideas translate better as digital imagery and photographs,” said Simmons.

Simmons earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Murray State University and a Master’s of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati.

Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
