Earlie Fugate |
Earlie Fugate of Paducah has joined the staff at West Kentucky Community & Technical College as the Program Coordinator/Project Director of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Project.
Fugate will oversee the WIA Program, monitor various grant programs, assist with recruitment, conduct related workshops, and mentor at-risk students. The WIA Youth Program provides employment and training opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth ages 19 to 21.
In addition to Fugate's work with the WIA program, she will coordinate programs to work with local businesses and industries to identify placement opportunities and teach courses as assigned.
"We are very excited to have Earlie Fugate join our team to lead the WIA Youth Project," said Dr. Deborah Pape, Vice President of Economic Development. "Earlie has long been known for her positive work in the community and we are sure that she will be a great asset to WKCTC."
Earlie holds a bachelor's degree from Mid-Continent College and a master's degree from Murray State University. She was previously employed by the City of Paducah as a personnel specialist in the Human Resources Department prior to working as a case specialist for the McCracken County Family Court, Judge Cynthia Sanderson.
