Disability Services

Mission

The mission of Disability Services at West Kentucky Community and Technical College is to provide students with disabilities the tools, reasonable accommodations, and support services to fully participate in the academic environment and to promote an accessible and culturally sensitive campus by building partnerships within the College community and beyond.

Disability Services strives to accomplish this mission by:

• Serving as educators in broadening awareness of the needs of qualified students with disabilities by sharing professional expertise with members of the campus and the community
• Acting as advocates in affirming the right of every student to achieve his/her full potential
• Serving as a liaison between student and the faculty and staff of WKCTC
• Keeping WKCTC in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities
