The West Kentucky Community and Technical College Clemens Fine Arts Center presents a diverse schedule of performance and visual arts opportunities which consists of professional touring productions of musicals and plays, internationally renowned dance companies, and national recording artists plus theatre and concert performances by the students and community members. In addition, the Clemens Fine Arts Center is home to:

  • Backstage Pass - featuring acoustic musicians in a casual coffeehouse setting
  • The Keynote Series which presents speakers including authors such as Homer Hickam and David Baldacci plus songwriting seminars with Grammy-award winning songwriters.
  • The Campus Series presents up-and-coming recording artists such as The Band Perry, Punch Brothers featuring Chris Thile, and Sara Watkins. The Clemens Gallery holds six to eight visual arts exhibits annually and showcases the Paducah School of Art & Design students and faculty, as well as regional and national artists.

FOCUS Facts

  • The Arts in FOCUS Series has successfully presented national touring productions of theatre, dance, and musical attractions for forty-two years. Along with the touring company productions, the series includes West Kentucky Community and Technical College Theatre and Music Department productions and visual arts displays.       
  • Educational outreach activities include matinee performances of touring companies and WKCTC productions for regional schools, master classes in dance and musical theatre, and acting workshops with professional performers.        
  • Children from the Neighborhood After School Program received complimentary tickets to most events.        
  • Schools are provided with study guides on the internet and question and answer sessions with the director, cast and crew. Students from over 22 counties in this region from three states attend productions.

  • Provide quality, live performances to the Paducah community at an affordable price.
  • Present a diverse selection of the performing arts.
  • Introduce new works to the community.
  • Reach the youth of the community and involve them in the arts.
