The Paducah Parks Services Department is hosting the annual Cross River Swim this Saturday, July 23, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.  Swimmers will start on the Illinois side of the Ohio River and attempt to swim to the foot of Broadway in Paducah. Trophies are awarded for the top male and female swimmer and for the overall fastest swimmer.

Participants are asked to arrive at 12:30 pm on July 23 for final instructions and rules. Participants must pre-register for the event at the Parks Services Department located at 1400 H.C. Mathis Drive and provide proof that they can swim 1000 consecutive yards. All swimmers must provide a manned safety boat as an escort during all portions of the swim.
